- You offer very little real information regarding your problem...
-
- Perhaps your phone line is "glitchy". The Supra as well as all other
- typical Hayes compat. modems have a bunch of S registers, & if you
- look at the documentation for S10:
-
- S10 Delay from Lost Carrier to Hang Up (1-255 1/10 seconds)
- (Default is 14, Modem assumes carrier always present if set to
- 255)
-
-
- I set S10=150 so the modem will tolerate carrier loss for up to 15
- seconds -- likely overkill but I see far fewer spontaneous hangups
- with this setting over the default 1.4 seconds.
-
- For use with PPP I also set "&D0", meaning the modem ignores loss of
- the DTR signal.
-
- Download the file "v34_list.txt" on ftp.supra.com in subdir:
-
- "/pub/flashers_current/v34"
-
- or something like that -- it's much more explicit that the Supra
- manual.
-
- Good luck...Bob
